My first movie, Moana.

Hi, My name is sunmyung.

I will introduce Moana movie today. The film was released in January 2017.

Before I tell you the story of the movie, I will introduce you to the character.

The main character of the movie, Moana becomes the next chief as the daughter of Motunui. And as a child, she was chosen by the sea and ended up coming out into the sea beyond the reef.

A hero of the past. Maui is trapped on the island because he stole Tepiti’s heart, but Moana brought him back into the world. Although he is full of bravado and has a lot of willpower for hooks, he is overcome thanks to Moana.

As the only person in town who knew Moana had been chosen by the sea, Tala had the heart of Tepiti that Moana had received from the sea as a child. When Tui tried to keep Moana on the island, Tala encouraged Moana to go to the sea beyond the reef.

Moana’s dad and mom.

When Tui was young, he went to the sea over the reef with his friend, and lost his friend, thus preventing Moana from crossing the reef. Mother, on the other hand, did not stop Moana from going out to sea.

Tamatoa had Maui’s hooks. He likes sparkling things.

Coconut. Have a big belly and threaten Moana and Maui.

Owner of the heart. When Maui and Moana returned the heart to Teka, Teka returned to her original self, Tepiti.

Now I will post a movie plot.

The beginning of Moana is started by the legend of Motonui in the past. Moana, the daughter of the village chief, grows up to be a sea selected girl. But Moana father has been emphasizing to Moana since childhood that he should never cross the reef outside the sea.

Then one day, the carefree village changed. The coconut was rotten and the fish was not caught. So Moana said she would go to the sea far away and catch fish, but Moana’s father objected to Moana going out to sea. But Grandma makes Moana realize why she likes the ocean and wants to go far. So, Moana leaves to the sea.

Moana goes on an adventure to find Maui. Moana meets Maui on the reef island. Moana recommends that Maui go with her to restore the ‘heart of tephiti,’ but Maui refuses.

Then Moana and Maui meet the kakamora.

And they meet Tamatoa, too. There was a maui hook on the back of Tamatoa and thanks to Moana, the hook was recovered.

Moana and Maui put Tephiti’s heart back in place. Then Teka came back to Tephiti.

The village finds peace again. Moana meets her people and family, and the movie ends as villagers leave ride the boat.

<My opinion>

The reason why I watched this movie is because I had seen it at school with my friend before, but I saw it again because I had fun memories. While watching the movie, Moana’s father only tried to stop Moana from going out to sea, but Moana’s grandmother was moved to listen to her voice in her heart and teach her how to cherish her love more. And if I were Moana, I wouldn’t have tried to go out to sea because I was scared by my father’s story, but when I saw Moana bravely go out on a boat, I thought Moana was great and brave. And it was so cute to see the Cocamora, a coconut pirate group that was looking for the heart of Tefiti. I’m Moana of Motunui. You have to go out to sea on my boat and return the heart of the Tephiti.
Moana’s grandmother told me when she left for the sea, but I could feel Moana’s dignity.

There are two memorable lines.

If I die, I will be born again as a stingray.
That’s what Moana’s grandmother said. When Grandma dies later and Moana wants to give up everything, she shows up as her fantasy in stingrat and gives her strength.

These lines are memorable.

And I loved the ost in the movie. Among the various ost, I liked ‘How Far I’ll Go’ the best. If I have a chance, I want to see this movie again after the midterm exam.
